INFINITE YOU
Why is there something rather than nothing? ~Leibniz philosophical riddle
YOU ARE ENERGY
In order to understand how your thoughts form your reality, a basic understanding of you is necessary. It is not enough to tell you that your thoughts form your reality and leave you to them. You need an understanding of the thought process and how it is initiated. In order to understand the process, we must first understand the processor, you.
How well do you know yourself? “Like the back of my hand,” you answer. You can describe each mole, freckle and scar. You know your exact height, weight and foot measurements. You know every hair on your head and the arch of your eyebrow. Your outer shell is what you identify so closely with, but it is not you. It gives you visibility, like the invisible man who dons a jacket so he can be seen. However, you do not feel your presence in your skin.
What else are you constructed of? Tissue? Organs? The brain is a massive organ. You probably think you are familiar with your brain thanks to the many years spent in high school biology class studying the various sections and their functions. You know your brain is both a transmitter and receiver of information. “It has a frontal, temporal, occipital, and parietal lobe,” you usher. You recall social etiquette, current events and all sorts of historical information about you. But where are your thoughts stored? What happens to the information contained in the brain? Where does it go? Where are your secrets kept? How does information get outside of the brain that supposedly contains it, such as cases of spoon bending, levitation, intuition and ESP? At best, that question is debatable. However, for all intents and purposes, it remains unknown where your thoughts are stored and where “you” are. You are decidedly absent from your brain.
It might surprise you to learn you are a non-physical being because you perceive yourself as a solid entity just as you would a wall or a chair. As you consider your whole self, though, you know that there are parts within your parts. As you peel back layers from your fleshy shell your internal organs are found comprised of tissue. Upon examination of the tissue millions of cells become visible. Those cells contain molecules that are made up of even smaller components called atoms. Atoms are composed of protons and neutrons with electrons spinning around its nucleus. Soon it becomes obvious that the deeper you go, the less physical you become. You are reduced to energy.
What is energy? Energy is the ability a structure has to exert force upon other structures. You, as energy, have the ability to exert force upon other forms of energy. You are a force exerting pulls or pushes. You attract. You repel. Energy is not separate and distinct from you or from things. You are energy. Things are energy. Forces are energy touching. Physical objects including you are massive amounts of bound energy. Your thoughts command this energy.
The energy that forms you changes. For most people, a makeover means a new haircut and change of wardrobe. What you may not know is that the body does a complete makeover regularly. You are not the same person you were ten years ago, five years ago or even eleven months ago. Every cell in your body has been replaced. Each new cell contains the exact memory placement, a product of its own self-awareness. Consider a scar that retains its position long after the injury. Scar tissue also rejuvenates itself, yet the scar remains. Memory begins with perception. In order to perceive awareness must exist. The entire body is rejuvenated constantly yet the conscious mind endures.
